August: My View, Myself Wk37

August! Augusta!! Augustus!!! Augustine!!!!

These names are really amazing and I love them so much. I have a friend answering Augustine and he's a very small boy with alot of courage and I do see him in the church as he's an altar server. Ok I have decided to participate in my contest again, is not a crime to participate in contest you created, it only becomes a crime when you make yourself the winner 😅. Nevertheless, we are all here to learn

What do you understand by the word August?

This word is a very nice word and is found among the 12 months of the year and I know that August is the 8th month. August is a month I really enjoy because is just a relaxation month sometimes. I remember when I was in secondary school, I always love to do so many things at home during the long holidays which falls in August every year. I always want to try my best to ensure that I don't spend the holiday foolishly. If is books I will write, if is skill I want to learn from my parents I will learn. I love August and I hope next year August will be better than that of this year.

Tell us a brief story of what you experienced in August

I experienced alot in August, I also learnt so many lessons. I participated in an airdrop known as DOGS the airdop has no tapping, farming and doesn't require money start. My friends were always sending me this link in the month of July and I was refusing to click the link and join. I began to make some observations then I finally discovered that is a legit airdop and I didn't want to fade it at all so I finally joined but I didn't take it that serious.

DOGS finally paid and that's the first airdrop that has given me money. I was so excited even though I didn't get much Dogs. This really made August very wonderful for me. I also got the opportunity to watch for football matches live, it was a tournament with different catholic churches and I was very excited when we won our first two matches by the grace of God.

We left the tournament because the referee wasn't really experienced and we didn't get any second chance to play that match again. Assuming my boys trained thrice a week we would have still win the team that removed us from the tournament.

Ok another thing is that I finally got to be in a community curator team in the month of August. Luckily for me and few steemians, steemitblog announced that there's nothing like steem power minimum for August application and this made alot of steemians who to apply, even newbies 😅. I haven't joined a team before because I don't have much steem power but I finally formed a team with two active female steemians. I was so joyous the day we posted our applications and we are known as True Colours Curators.

Based on your numerous experience was August good or quite bad to you?

August wasn't bad to me even though I faced some challenges like bad electricity that beginning of the month. The month was good to me and am so excited. I used my dogs money to pay back the large amount of airtime I was owing Airtel and I also used small amount of it to support my parents. The entire money that's remaining is just NGN1,300 which is 5.5 steem. I just hope another airdrop will pay me massively soon.

My team successfully got selected on the 29th of August and I was very joyous, I have always dreamt of that day, I woke up very early in the morning and started seeing my mentors and friends in steemit congratulating me. I was wondering what's happening until I saw everything, oh my God 😳, Team True Colours got selected, we are currently managing steemcurator04's account.

What are your plans for September 2024?

My plans for this month is to take steemit more serious, I want to participate in alot of engagement challenges, they aren't easy at all but I will keep on trying my best. I have planned to ensure that I actively assist my team in searching for steemians that are hardly recognized in steemit so that we can curate their posts or comments which can motivate them not to give up.

My other plan is to make this new community Africans on steem, is a very nice community with a large intention in which one of them is to increase the number of African steemians in this platform, alot has also powered down and we will try to bring some of them back to this platform. Is not just a community for Africans, other continents are also welcome and I will urge everyone to subscribe to this community so that we can move forward effectively.

I have an exam next week and I have been studying so that my plan this month to pass the exam will work successfully. Steemit is a beautiful place I love and I will remain diligent and consistent in this platform, is a place for youngsters like me to put our lives in good shape, steemit is a bed rock.
