SEC | S19W1 [Winners Announcement]: Designing Lesson Plans

The Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 19 Week 1 with the subject matter "Designing Lesson Plans" has come to an end.

We would like to thank all the participants for taking part in the lessons and assignments from our team. By studying and following this assignment we hope that you will be able to design effective lesson plans for students.

📝 Brief Report

• This assignment was attended by 40 participants.
• A total of 2 participants were deemed not meeting the requirements.
• Number of participants from Indonesia 10, Venezuela 3, Pakistan 10, Nigeria 11, Bangladesh 3, South Africa 1, Cameron 1, India 1.

👨‍🏫 Our Assessment

Based on the results of our assessment of all participants who have completed this assignment, we can see that most of the participants who participated in this assignment are teachers in their daily lives, so it is easy for them to complete this assignment well. However, some participants still did not answer the task well.

In developing this plan, participants should only tell us about one topic of the subject matter and a small part of the topic that will be taught to students, not mentioning all the subjects you teach.

With regard to the opening activities, core activities and closing activities, participants should have explained in detail how the steps of each of these activities were carried out and how many minutes were allocated for each of these activities. Many participants we found in answering this task did not explain each step of these activities clearly enough.

We were pleased to learn that they would be using a mix of methods in their teaching, but very few participants provided explanations as to why the methods they were using were most effective.

We were happy to learn that there are many media and tools that can be found around us to help the teaching and learning process. We were amazed to learn that used items, soil, skewers and dolls can be used as learning tools and media.

This assignment focused on how we plan a teaching activity, but since most of the participants are teachers in their daily lives, they showed some photos to support that they have already done it.

🥇🥈🥉Announcement of the winners and the reasons why they were chosen.

It is very difficult to determine the winners as all participants have put in a lot of effort to present quality, relevant and accurate posts, we are in constant communication with the team members on an ongoing basis in deciding the winners. The committee's decision is final, we also include the reason why their post was chosen.

🥇 1st place (5 Steem)

This author plans the lesson well, organizes the time for each activity and explains the steps she will take. She also used the demonstration method and she also involved students actively in her class with a word building game.

Overall, the content of her post was in line with what we expected. Besides being active in commenting to other participants, she also participated more in the Steemit Engagement Challenge, and that added to her score for our team.

🥈 2nd place (3 Steem)

This author answered and explained the task precisely and accurately. The selection of material about fiqh as teaching material is quite relevant until the end of this article.

The use of photos about real activities is quite appropriate to the material discussed. So this writer deserves to be appreciated as one of the winners.

🥉 3rd place (2 Steem)

The author wrote extensively and very well on the topic lesson plan. She started by defining and explaining what the lesson plan was all about and showed us a sample structured lesson plan.

She shared a good method of teaching that will help any student out there to effectively learn. Overall her work hit the points we were looking for and it was also well presented.
