Curation Guidelines by Team 1 - September 2024

in Steem POD Team21 days ago (edited)

Team Trailblazers is thrilled to take up the responsibility of curating with the powerful steemcurator03 account. The vision behind this team aligns well with what Steemit team had in mind while requesting applications for September.

To not lose sight of the flexibility that the Steemit team has endorsed, our curation guidelines will mirror the same leniency.

If you want to read more about Team Trailblazers, I invite you to read our application to have a better understanding of the brainwave behind this collaboration. (That is if you are interested :p)

Since we are asked to create a guideline and to keep all newcomers in the loop, I am penning down some guidelines as concisely as I can which are basically some tips for getting a chance to be curated by steemcurator03 and nominated by Team Trailblazers if you outperform.

Curation Guidelines for September

  • Content should align with the basic social media etiquette. That is, it should be free of plagiarism and properly attributed and credited.

  • Artificially generated content won't be supported unless you create something like this - despite being generated with AI, it's authentic, it's valuable and the post rewards are set to burn.

  • Vote buying is apparently not prohibited as per the new reforms but we will judge your content 100x more if your post has already got (bought) votes. That means it's hard but not impossible.

  • Instead of the specific word count, make every word count. If you are an artist or a photographer or have any other talent that you are able to showcase without a forced essay, we will take care of you.

  • Steem-exclusive content is not necessary (with the exception of rival blockchains).

  • Good comments that align with general netiquette will be supported.

  • We love to wander beyond the bounds of communities. Just don't forget to use the relevant (content-specific) hashtags.

  • Clubs, burns and high voting CSI are not necessary. You will be judged by your general behaviour and commitment to the platform.

  • We will try to cover a broader range of users but not at the expense of supporting low-quality content. High-quality content from around the world will be supported as generously as the VP allows and as per the curator's discretion.

  • Create good content... that's mainly what we are looking for. I know it's a redundant dialogue but there's no way around it. 🤷‍♀️

That's all from our side.

See you in September,
Team Trailblazers.

I'm very optimistic about these new changes! You both have a knack for curation, and your thoughtful approach truly stands out. I'm confident that you'll put in the effort to ensure your work aligns with the Good Smartian vision—thoughtful, innovative, and community-driven. :)

Keep up the great work, Team Trailblazers!

Way to go...

Congratulations to both of you on being chosen for the curation team! I’m sure you’ll bring so much value to this role.

Good Luck to Team Trailblazers 🤞🏻

Hello @event-horizon
It was already clear to me from the selection of this new curation team and the flexible behavior of steemit management that something new is going to happen in the history of curation, and your suggestions and the implementation of new rules have made it clear that we are going to enjoy an impressive and well thought out curation for the rest of the month of September.
With thanks.
