While PEPE and his lady, were enjoying a day at the pond, Phoenix was listening …………😮

Dachshunds are bred to be hunting dogs.
Looking at this small package of a dog, you wouldn’t think this is so, but there is a mighty hunting dog inside this little girl!😇
I have watched Phoenix in action before!
Our son usually runs Phoenix “Off leash” at the public Elk field nearby their home.
This field is dotted with literally hundreds of Mole hills.
Phoenix will stop, and tilt her head from left to right listening for Moles!😮
Then when she is convinced a Mole is below her, the digging begins!😳
No Moles are harmed in this quest, Bill always stop’s Phoenix before she digs too deep!
The hunter in Phoenix is now happy, the Moles are relieved Lol, and Phoenix can now take Bill back home knowing she was victorious today!🤗
Today she stood “frozen” for several minutes………..
Then suddenly she buried her snout deep in the soft Mole hill dirt!😳
“Silvertop when we get home you get to clean Phoenix’s nose, it’s covered in dirt!” 🥰
Phoenix was again victorious, she trotted proudly back home, a happy dog !😊
“ Liz, should we tell PEPE we are heading home?”
“I think they can find their way home Silvertop!”🥰
