Three principles of graphic design that are necessary to understand are balance, contrast, and unity. Balance is the sharing of visual weight in a particular design, and elements are arranged in a way which creates a sense of harmony and also stability. There are two different types of balance, which are symmetrical and asymmetrical. Symmetrical balance is when an elements on both side of a central axis are similar in their shape, their size and also their position. Asymmetrical balance is when different elements are align in such a way which they still gain visual harmony upon not being identical. Balance helps to bring a sense of order and organization in a particular design.

Contrast is the difference between an elements in a design, which are light and dark colors, big and small shapes, or even bold and thin textures. Contrast brings interest and visual hit to a design, helping to get the viewer's attention to a particular elements. It also helps to bring emphasis and hierarchy to a design, guiding the viewer's eye to important information.

Unity is the principle that ties all elements in a design together, creating a sense of cohesion and harmony. Unity helps to maintain consistency throughout a design, ensuring that all elements work together to communicate a coherent message. It is achieved through the use of consistent typography, colors, and other design elements that create a cohesive visual identity.

In order to create the graphical image below, you will need a graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Start by bringing in a new document and you will have to set the dimensions to your determined size. Next thing is to select a background color or image to serve as the point for your design.

Next, toy have to choose a typography style which fits the overall theme of your design and type out the text "Graphic Design" in a bold and nice font. You have to experiment it with different sizes, colors, and placements until you figure out a layout which works best for your design.

Then, add graphic elements like shapes, icons, or images Which complement the text and help to get the overall visual appeal of the design. Fucus on the placement and size of these elements to bring a balanced composition which is visually engaging.

Finally, add any additional effects to bring your design to life, such as gradients, shadows, or even textures. Make sure to continuously refer back to the principles of balance, contrast, and unity to make sure that your design is visually appealing and effectively sent your message across.
