Greetings my fellow steemians. I am delighted to participate in this week contest, about the current situation in my country. I am @blessedbee from Nigeria.

THE CURRENT SITUATION IN MY COUNTRY

My country Nigeria is very hard to survive now. The country's situation is out of hand and people are confuse of what to do, we are going through economic hardship in Nigeria , the price of everything thing has increased in Nigeria, even things that are not worth it.

The situation is terrible, terrible to the point that some people have started running mad , some even commit suicide. I read in the news recently about a man committing suicide because he is not able to provide for his family, his wife and three kids. So the country situation I undescribable.

ITEMS THAT HAVE INCREASED IN PRICE IN MY COUNTRY

  1. Fuel: Fuel is very expensive in my country, some people have even parked their vehicle because they are not able to afford the price of fuel. It is also affecting other businesses, such as tailoring, laundry and any one using fuel for their business. Market women are not able to pay their transport to and fro the village to purchase goods , and is affecting the price of food items.
As at last year, fuel was 500 (2 steems) but today fuel is 1300 ( 5 steems.)

  1. Baby's food (NAN) .:Baby's food have increased rapidly in price, it got higher day by day, when I gave birth to my baby as at January this year, NAN was 5000 (20 steems) but yesterday it was 8000 (32 steems.)

  2. Palm oil : We are the producers of palm oil in my country but it is very costly and poor people cannot afford to buy it, now if we manage to afford it, we use it small small so that it will not finish quickly.
Palm oil us to be 600 (2.5 steems) in a bottle but no it has doubled in price .1200 (5 steems).

  3. Bathing soap: Foreign Papaya extract that we used to buy at 900 ( 3.4 steems). Is now 2500 ( 10steems).

  1. Toothpaste: Normal oral B toothpaste that used to be 1200 ( 5 steems) is sold at 3500 (14 steems).

The prices of this things keep increasing in price everyday. You may buy something at a given price today , next 24hours you will have the price raised. So we are suffering in Nigeria.

HOW I AM COPING WITH ECONOMIC SITUATION IN MY COUNTRY

I decided to double my hustle, looking for any opportunity to make money, now our expenses is more than our earnings so I made sure I curtail thing I spend my money on, I go for needs not want.
The country's situation is caused by the present system of things, we know that during the end, difficult situation will prevail and we will find it difficult to deal with it, that time is now , and we hav seen all those things happening.

COUNTRY I WILL LIKE TO TRAVEL TO AND WHY

I will travel to any country outside Africa. I don't t know the country but when the time comes I will know, for now I don't know.

I will love @beevicsam, @goodybest @vickmoon @iddy to join this contest.
