The Diary Game | 16 September 2024 | A Day of Mixed Emotions: Family Loss, Responsibilities, and Reflections

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their lives. Last day my uncle died due to which I came to Sahiwal near me. I had to stay there for the night because I had some work to do the next day, so I stopped there. Uncle's funeral was read, he was buried and explained for the sake of the guests and after that, we went to sleep for the night. And get up early in the morning to complete the rest of the work.

The death of our uncle deeply saddens us, the biggest regret was that his son was not with him here. He used to work in Dubai and that's where he is now, so he couldn't come to Pakistan for some reason. And he couldn't even make it to his father's funeral, so he was very worried there. We were also worried that he was not with his father for the last time, but still, we encouraged him. Because these are the works of Allah we have to participate in the works of Allah for His pleasure. It is the nature of a person who has come to this world that he has to go back, so we have comforted him.

My brother also used to work here in Sahiwal, so he also came home on leave, but then he also had to go there. Now he had to go to his duty, so I took him with me to leave him on duty and we walked towards his shop. But on the way we had some work in which we had to go to DHQ Hospital where the District Health Officer's office is located and from there, we had to get a slip of petrol.

We went straight to DHQ hospital where I made my brother stand outside and I rushed inside. And from them, I got the gasoline slip that's sitting there in the CDC supervisor's office. After going there I signed at some places and then I got the petrol slip from there. And then I took my brother with me and we left.

Since we got the slip from there, we thought that now we bring petrol too. The government of Pakistan has associated one petrol pump from there all people pour petrol with the help of this slip. We also went there and we gave them that slip and through this slip, we poured this petrol from there.

After filling the petrol, it was time for my brother's shop, so I thought to drop my brother there first so that he could reach the shop on time. So straight away I went to Stylo Shoes Brand where I dropped my brother. And then I went straight to the passport office from there.

It has been almost four and a half months since I gave my passport for normalization. But till now I have not got it because the passport cover wrapper is very scarce in Pakistan. Because of this, they are only making arguments. I didn't know about this before, so now I asked them and they said that it is late and they are not being made yet. I then asked them to cancel it they said it is in processing now we can't cancel it so again I left disappointed.

After that, I reached the Pakistan Post office now because I have also got my driving license which was dispatched on the 27th of last month. But till now it has not been delivered to me though its timing is 15 days. Within 15 days they delivered to our house but it still didn't arrive. So I reached the Pakistan Post Office.

For one thing, there was a lot of rush due to which my turn came quite late. But as soon as it was my turn, I told them that I had to track my license. He asked me which address you have given I said I have given my village. He said that it would be delivered to the same address and not from here. Because it has to come from Lahore, it will be delivered directly from Lahore to your village. Then I left there and I thought let's go and check with the post office near me.

From there I directly went to the market because it had been many days since my sister asked me to bring my mobile cover. Because the back cover of his mobile was badly damaged, but that cover was not available in our city, which we call Harappa. I tried a lot but it was not found in any shop and by chance, Sahiwal used to come but I don't remember coming there to pick it up. So I thought I must carry it today so I went to the mobile shop.

As this mobile is a bit old, these back covers are very hard to find. But I went to about three to four shops there and I didn't get this cover. Losing, I went to another shop and got these covers from there. Out of which they showed me different types, I liked one and bought it for my sister. So that it will go as it is because the first one was very damaged.

I had come here to Sahiwal the previous day, so we had spent a lot here. Now I had no money in my pocket so I had an ATM card. I thought of withdrawing money from the bank so that we could use it if needed. My account is in Meezan Bank, so there are many branches of Meezan Bank in the city, so I reached their main branch.

Today, I don't know what the problem was, there was a lot of rush in the entire Sahiwal city. Everywhere I went there were a lot of people. Similarly, I reached the ATM, although there are two ATMs here in this Meezan bank, still people were standing outside and there was a rush. I waited there for about five to 10 minutes then my turn came and I took out my money.

Now that it was evening, I had to come home with my mother because she also came with me yesterday. I told them that now we were going, and we left for our house after eating. And the heat was almost enough when we left the house, there was light rain around. And there were clouds too, it looked like it was raining in the area around us. But we still had heat when we reached home, we found that our other relatives, when they got home, they got rained on the way and they got home very wet. But as soon as I came home the weather started to get nicer and cold winds started blowing because when it's raining around then the winds are cold.

After coming home I rested because I was quite tired. And I took a bath and changed my clothes. After changing my clothes I lay down on the bed to rest for some time and then woke up in the early evening. And when I got up and freshened up again, my mother made peach juice for me. Since the peaches are at their peak now, their juice becomes very delicious, so we enjoyed the juice in the evening.
