[Photography] How I Describe About Black and White PhilosophysteemCreated with Sketch.

Hello, #steem lovers, especially #photography lovers..

If we were given something with two black and white colors decorating it, what would we think of first? I'm sure everyone has their own thoughts and of course, what we perceive varies depending on where we see it from. Maybe our experiences and the conditions around us also affect the way we see things. Generally, we think of black and white as contrasting colors, basic colors that influence other colors. Capable of providing beauty and vice versa.

Black and white, two colors that can be friendly, but not infrequently also build a limiting space for each other. I will try to explore the meaning of life with these two colors. Seeing life in black and white will help me interpret the life we have been living. It is possible that each individual has his or her own arguments. However, this time I am writing to describe my own version of what I can see in this Black and White philosophy.

The first black-and-white philosophy that I can describe is about good and bad. Judging from the character of the color, I consider white to be a symbol of goodness. I put goodness in the color white because I assume white is associated with clean, so I assume white represents goodness. Meanwhile, I use black as a symbol of badness. So how is this related?

Generally speaking, we encounter characters who are either good or bad. While I don't know where they are, I know I have these two sides. I'm not judging anyone because I am aware of them. I can't judge where my good side is or where my bad side is. Now let's think back. Have we ever felt disappointed because someone who is usually good suddenly made a mistake? Or on the contrary, do we feel astonished and amazed because people we know are bad suddenly do something good? If you've ever experienced it, then you're in my category.

It's not entirely wrong because humans think or have opinions based on what they experience. Although it is natural, it doesn't hurt that we are wiser in dealing with it. If someone who is usually nice suddenly makes a mistake, try not to show disappointment in front of them. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. No matter how good humans are, they are never free from mistakes. Just like those two colors. There is black in the middle of white and vice versa there is white in the middle of black. This means that no matter how good a person is, they must have a bad side and have done it before.

The second black-and-white philosophy is Difference. Differences here can be in the form of different goals, principles, opinions, etc. I'm sure such differences exist since we often encounter them. However, differences do not always cause friction between people. We can have different opinions, principles, and goals, with the caveat that we can't disagree. What does that mean? Yes, we must respect differences. We follow what we think is appropriate without blaming other people's principles and opinions.

If the comparison between good and bad can be described with black-and-white colors that build barriers or contradict each other, then respecting differences is a manifestation of black-and-white colors that can coexist or be friendly. Black and white are different, but they can still coexist by respecting each other. Despite the differences between black and white philosophy, you will find peace.

Lastly, black and white are complementary. Have any of us ever encountered a pair of lovers, friends, teams, and others in which there are people with firm characters and those with soft characters? Can they make peace or is it the other way around? Of course, both possibilities can happen. But the differences between the two characters are widely used to complement each other's shortcomings. Having a soft and patient character is good, and vice versa, having a firm character is equally as good, but in many conditions, a combination of both is more appropriate. A soft character is needed to neutralize a firm character. To strengthen a soft character, you need a firm character.

Well, even though black and white seem simple, this philosophy holds so many stories and meanings. Colors that contain mystery, peace, and conflict which we often experience but rarely comprehend. Essentially, black and white are simple colors that are full of meaning. In addition to the three black-and-white philosophies I wrote above, does anyone have another one? Don't forget to share in the comments section.
