How I stopped consuming sugar

in #health7 years ago

One year ago I started reading about the effects on sugar, specially the ones caused in the brain, what I found was shocking, as I really enjoy eating desserts, having cold drinks full of sugar (I ignored that), eating processed food, and many things that without my knowledge were affecting my health.

So in many things i read, the most important are that studies shown sugar has an addictive effect similar to cocaine.

Also it affects the production of a substance called brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which is involved in the memory and learning process, then the brain cant form new memories, so we cant learn or remember that much.

It is associated with diabetis, depression and dementia.

So the article i read said that if our bodies were addicted to sugar we will feel the absence of it in the upcoming days with headches, bad mood, fatigue, etc, I decided to give it a try.

it was true, i started feeling all of that, it was a hard first week, but instead I started to eat more honey, fruits, seeds, and vegetables.

RESULTS!!

One month later my tongue became more sensible to flavours, I started to have more energy, sleep better and have more concentration, guys this is not a joke, most of the food that we are eating is full of poison!!!

1 year later i have to confess sometimes I eat a couple of things with sugar, but in fact my health has improved A LOT!

hope you can take the same decition, you will see the same improvements as me.
