How should we brush our teeth?

in #health7 years ago

Hello steemit community, here I bring you a post of how to perform the proper oral hygiene I hope it serves them a lot. regards!

In the oral cavity there is a transparent plaque formed by bacteria, so we implemented brushing to reduce the proliferation of these bacteria, and avoid periodontal diseases such as gingivitis. The brushing of the mouth is nothing more than the cleaning of the teeth and gums eliminating the remains of foods of daily consumption. On the other hand it is important to use auxiliary methods to complement dental cleaning such as dental floss and mouthwash.

                                        How should we brush?

First we must evaluate the toothbrush that we will preferably use one of medium or soft texture or bristles with a rounded tip so as not to cause damage to the gums, since a brush with very strong bristles cause wear of the mucosa and exposure of the teeth. And with a firm handle to make it much easier to handle when brushing. It is important to remember that the brush should be changed from two to three months preferably to maintain its cleaning effectiveness, since a worn brush will not do any function in the mouth. We will perform the brushing of the mouth from top to bottom in the upper dental arcade and from the bottom upwards in the lower arch, the teeth in a circular shape and last but not least the cleaning of the tongue that we will perform from back to forward.

The most important brushing is the one that we must realize before going to sleep because there is more probability that the dental caries is formed.

It is important to note that flossing is vital as this will remove accumulated debris between the teeth and the gum line where the toothbrush can not reach.

On the other hand we mention the mouthwash which will help us to maintain a healthy mouth and a fresh breath, is very useful also for people who have orthodontic appliances since to be liquid can penetrate areas that the toothbrush fails to reach.

I hope you have been useful this post, happy day.
