John Daly was [and is] Golf's exception to the rule

Here is a recent interview that John Daly granted sports journalist Graham Bensinger where he outlines the 'health' aspects of his lifestyle. He speaks about his love of candy, cigarettes, alcohol, and also his hatred for water!

His upcoming 30 for 30 Documentary by ESPN aptly titled 'Hit it Hard' was debuted in a screening at SXSW 2016 in Austin, TX this spring. Those who were fortunate enough to see it have widely spread positive feedback for it.

If you are not familiar with John Daly and his exploits, he is about the closest golf has ever seen to a real life Happy Gilmore. His ability to compete at the highest level of a sport as mentally and emotionally demanding as golf while battling demons off the course has created a legend, an almost anti-hero, who many golf fans enjoy and respect. He has gone on record to say that "sex helps [his] golf game" and claims that he is better at golf when he is drunk. In fact, he claims that he used to drink "35-40 beers a day... was in the hospital when the nurse told me I had been dead for 8 seconds." For more about his growing legacy, click here.
