How to plant a Dragon Fruit Cutting (Pitahaya)

in #gardening6 years ago (edited)

Hello DTube and Steemians!

Today I have another gardening video for you. Last week I got a package from @papa-pepper that had dragon fruit cuttings in it. In this video I show you how I am going to plant the dragon fruit cuttings. Dragon Fruit will grow well here in Arizona as long as I take care of them properly. I am also experimenting with the cuttings, I am using rooting powder on two of the cuttings, and no rooting powder on the other two. Dragon Fruit are one of the coolest exotic looking fruits. I can't wait to see if these grow.

Make sure to follow @papa-pepper if you aren't already. You can access his YouTube channel from his blog.

Don't forget to follow me/subscribe, upvote and re-steem if you like. :)

Video was filmed on my Canon 70D.

What do you think of the taste of Dragon Fruit?

I still haven't tasted one haha, but since I am always looking for cool things to grow here in Arizona, I thought why not. They have them once in awhile at my supermarket for like 6 dollars a piece! haha I hear they taste kind of bland. haha, but they sure look amazing!

Yes, kind of bland, but the whole experience of eating such a beautiful fruit makes up for it

I imagine so. And it just looks so cool! :)
