I love broccoli, I usually cook it au gratin or sauteed with cauliflower and eggplant. Sure they did not use it in your parents' house and that's why you didn't know, it's something that can happen. On the other hand, again the changes, new country, new home, new civil status...We'll see what happens
Indeed. But apparently it had been introduced in France by Catherine de' Medici in the 16th century!
I still find it amazing that 300 years later I had never heard of broccoli!
