Sweet, sour and salty pickle of Lapsi

Welcome to my post. From the topic, it is well known that how is the taste of this recipe. Yes, today I am going to share the recipes of pickle made from lapsi.

It contain sour taste in itself. So by adding sugar and chilly, we are giving it sweet and sour taste.

Ingredients
Boiled Lapsi 1kg
Cumin seeds 1/2 tablespoon
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tablespoon
Cumin Powder 1/2 tablespoon
Chilly Powder 1/2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Chopped Chilly 1 tablespoon
Chopped Onion 1 medium size
Sugar 3 tablespoon
Oil 3 tablespoon
Salt to taste

Mash the boiled Lapsi with hand or masher.

In a deep utensil, heat oil. Add cumin seeds. After few seconds add fenugreek seeds. Then add onion and fry.

Reduce the heat. Add cumin powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder, chopped green chilly. Mix properly.

Add mashed Lapsi. Fry for 3 minutes.

Then add salt and sugar. Mix it well. Allow sugar to melt properly.

Now your pickle is ready.

It gives different enjoyment while having it on sunny warm day. Very easy and tasty pickle is ready. Enjoy

Great post once again. Regularity is the main thing. But what does the Lapsi means? It's English name and botanical name, something like this....

Scientific Name = Choerospondias axillaris
English Name = Nepali hog plum
