How to find your passion

Passion is a strong emotion. It is not just a passing fancy but a thing which has become a part of you. Before you can say you have a passion, you need to first find that which you are passionate about. You need to go through the series of small interests to discover what you are truly passionate about. This process is not difficult and below are ways to ease it.

Have the right perspective:

Your state of mind plays a key role in what you become passionate about. Lets take for example the subject Mathematics. If you go to class believing it is hard to understand, you find that all you are taught goes over your head.

How you feel about a thing determines your attitude to it. Hence, it is very necessary to have the right perspective. If you keep believing that it's hard, you will close yourself off from the possibilities. Think positive. Remain open-minded. Surround yourself with positive people.

Think back to your childhood:

Try to recall the things and activities that you used to love before adulthood got in the way. This can go a long way in helping you restore your love for things and even kickstart your passion.

For example, a love for picture books can lead to you getting into drawing picture books for children.

Take note of things you gravitate towards:

Take a long and hard look at what you spend most of your time or money on. These things usually are things we are very invested in or are passionate about. For a book collector, s/he might be a writer who has not really come to that knowledge yet.

Track the things you hate:

List the things or jobs that you hate. Once you list and delete these options, your passion will eventually become clearer to you. This is the elimination method.

Love everything you do:

No matter what you are doing, how tedious the task is, bring full enthusiasm into it. Your full attention helps you think outside the box sometimes. The zeal with which you are performing the task would cause you to find creative ways solving any problem that pops up. Attempt tasks knowing that if you decide to do it, you are going with zeal.

Face your fears:

There are fears connected to finding and chasing our passions. These debilitating fears are sometimes logical and at other times, are not. However, in most cases, they hold us back. You have to face these fears and conquer them. This would let you move on to chasing your passions.

Sort:

Yeah, i have come to realiaze that, if u go on the street and ask people what they r passionate about, 99% of them would definitely tell you what they love doing. But only just 5% of them all always working and actively acting towards what they are passionate about. While others are been caged and held back by " Fear Of The Uknown " The earlier people act on what throughly excites them the better. When u do what u don`t love doing to me its called WORK. And when you do what you love doing even when you are exhausted and worn out is called Passion. Good job my friend.
