Human Extinction Possible with Sperm Count Rate Drop

Researchers review the 200 studies data of sperm counts which reduced to 50% in less than 40 years. Gathered from men of North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Hagai Levine said to BBC news,
"very worried what would happen in the future"
"if the trend continued, humans would become extinct"
"If we will not change the ways that we are living and the environment and the chemicals that we are exposed to, I am very worried about what will happen in the future,"

"Eventually we may have a problem, and with reproduction in general, and it may be the extinction of the human species."
Scientists not involve highly approves the research but telling its premature to such conclusion.
Luckily in South America, Asia and Africa has no significant decline of sperm rate, but they point that few studies are conducted in the said countries.
Researchers said that exposure to:

  • Chemicals used in pesticides and plastics,
  • Obesity smoking,
  • Stress
  • Diet
  • Watching too much TV
