Sense_of_Silence_

in #dsound6 years ago (edited)

As promised here is one of the tracks that I have recently been working on with @davidfar, I hope that you like it...

The thunderous beat of leathered heals,
Marching men from crops and fields,
Stand in wait 'neath hoisted masts
Anchors drawn, no ship's avast;

There's a sense of silence,
While we're waiting for the bloody moon,
Silence, Blood drenched feet march to your tune,
Silence, Bring our warriors safely home,
Silence, Guide them unharmed as they roam.

Fathers and sons with swords and shields,
Clad In armor hands willing to wield,
They'll fight for freedom, they'll fight till death,
They'll fight with honor in every breath.

There's a sense of silence,
While we're waiting for the bloody moon,
Silence, Blood drenched feet march to your tune,
Silence, Bring our warriors safely home,
Silence, Guide them unharmed as they roam.

That was great to work with you Breezin, as I love folk songs,it was enjoyable to work on this song :d

I was challenging but immensely fun, thank you for working with me :D

You can listen to it on soundcloud:

Thank you so much fr adding this :D

Beautiful vocals, unexpected ominous chord change in the chorus that I particularly enjoy, lyrics fitting for an epic balland, I love silence, I made an ode to silence very different than this, but it's a ward that calls me, your voice is lovely and the collaboration and music brings it forward, love the subtle delays, left you also a review on wls. Hugs

Thank you yidneth, great to have your kind feedback here. We both worked hard on this song, we have been sharing ideas for each parts to reach the right mood.

Amazing music, it has everything in it, slowly starting with just couple of instruments then the orchestra slowly get involved, impressive complex composition, full range of the rich sounds. Love your voice, it is pure and beautiful when you sing high tones and hold it for some times. Nice to see the text of the song, once you read and listen the music everything matches perfectly together, very professionally done.

Thank you so much Stef, the music was all the magic of @davidfar

Congratulations @breezin . Words full of sensitivity. Whith the music and voice the result is really amazing. Loved it!

I am so happy to hear that - ONE LOVE

Wow..nice work there! It's really a pompese song. At first I hoped it'll stay without singing the whole time as I really liked the music. But the singing only added to the experience! You have amazing voice! Btw I can't sing at all sooo I wouldnt do it better, but I guess 1:37 wasnt the best "performance" or? Feels like it should have sounded differently :)

But other that that...the song is amazing..I can see it being used in some movie, for some section where the mountains are included or something hah :D Like..climbers climbing or something similar to that :D Cheers!

Thank you so much man, great feedback, as I am a music producer and I have good ears I checked 1:37 again, well its exactly on tune, its the dark chord I chose for that part :) , if you listen to music in this genre you will hear this kind of changes in chords. I can tell you what happened in there with chords : it went from F# Major to G Major, which it made that kind of sound which we both wanted it to sound that way, as this is not a pop song :) and if you want to understand it better it was like this = Chorus chords were : E - F# - C#m - G#m and then in the second part which you didnt expected it to sound that way it was : E - F# - G .

its a pleasure! thanks for listening and thanks for the kind words :d

Oh man haha you're losing me on these letters hahah :D Looks almost like some code hah :D I just wanted to say soe critique which came to my mind cuz this whole steemit is just about "amazing, thanks for sharin, much love". And we get better by receiving critique, so I've tried it :)

It was indeed a nice piece!

It's good to read critique comments :) I was just telling you what we had done :) thanks for the comments :d

hey thank you so much for the feedback, much appreciated.

Well initially 1:37 did sound different, but this suited the song better :D

Wow this is a great collaboration, it definitely defied my expectations in a good way. it has folk roots but it branches out from there and produces some magical hybrid fruit =)
