Why I am deep into Cryptocurrency

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Reason 1: I made money
Duh! It's a no-brainer. I started investing and playing around with cryptos since late last year. As of now, I'm sitting on about 700-800 percent gains. And that's about half a year's work. Yet my kind of profits are dime a dozen in the crypto sphere. In fact many who have gotten into certain coins earlier have made thousands of percent within a short period of time. Try that with stocks. Frankly, the profits made by some in the crypto sphere would make many prominent investors salivate. Before you pass cryptos are scams because of the insane profits, realise this: a lot of the projects are not pump and dump investments (although there certainly are some as with any other investments). Many of the projects serve as solutions in the real world. I'll give an example. Swift, which is well-known method of transferring funds between banks can take days to process and materialize. Some banks of late are adopting Ripple as an alternative to Swift. With Ripple, transactions can even take seconds from country to country. That will leave Swift in the dust. As with any project which solves real world problems, you can imagine the value of Ripple's coins gaining traction as more and more banks adopt it's use. I rest my case.

Reason 2: I've helped my colleague make money
As a start to my crypto evangelism journey, I managed to convince my colleague to plunge into cryptocurrency investment. He saw my profits skyrocket with Dash and he was impressed. Finally, he decided to join the gang. Within about 2 months, I think he bagged about 30% gains. Not bad considering how new and unconventional this was to him. I cannot tell you how satisfying it is to me as a friend to be able to help him bag such gains. I must admit though it was kind of stressful at first as I really wasn't sure how he'll do.

Reason 3: Market capitalisation
The crypto sphere is relatively new relative to many investment vehicles out there. I just read somewhere that it just hit something like 68 billion USD in market capitalisation. While it may sound significant, it is just mere change if you compare to may other investments. I live in Singapore. Out of curiosity I decided to check out the market capitalisation of the stocks in Singapore. Guess what? I only managed to get figures of December last year and if my memory serves me right, it stands at 990 billion SGD. I didn't even bother to check out the larger ones of the US or Canada but you can imagine. If just a fraction of the funds got into crypto, what sort of exponential growth can we expect? And believe me, cryptocurrency is gaining grounds very quickly and by the looks of things there is still much profits to be made. Just look at Bitcoin. I think it entered into 2017 at 1000 USD and now it's has shot past the 2000 USD mark. We are talking about 100% gain within half a year. And Bitcoin can be considered one of the slower gainers among the lot. Just think of that!

I don't know about you, but I am sold. I'm so glad to have been introduced to it last year. For once, early retirement really seems possible. I can see light at the end of the tunnel and it's not another train!
