Seriously though, I have seen this happen so often on steemit. I believe there are ways to make sure this doesn't happen. AFAIK, if you have placed the link inside the text itself, it may send the bot on to another 'victim'.
Oh, I received that vote so the steemauto feature is working - it came in 20 minutes after published my post which may be ineffecient. I have heard it is better to have the vote just over 30 minutes after publication.
