Matrimony on the mind (hustle while you wait)

Marriage is a beautiful thing and it is a blessing from God to man, it is a day that most people look forward to in their lives. Marriage is a commitment- a decision to do all through life. It is when we use all alacrity to promise to love, honour, and cherish our imperfect spouse. Though we might have no idea on how we are going to successfully fulfil that vow but happily ever after is not a fairy tale, it is a choice.

You may not be thinking of getting married soon but when family and friend’s wedding invitations will begin to arrive by the numbers, marriage will obviously sneak upon you irrespective of you having a biological clock or not and whether or not it is ticking. What you thought was not a big deal and so far-off has become very vivid and real. At this period in your life, people who know that you are free (unattached) starts having that matchmaking beam in their eyes. Everyone in your circle virtually pair you up with an unattached member of the opposite sex they know.
Being single and of marriageable age is a delicate stage, if you are not bothered about it, it is surely on the mind and hearts of the people around you. They will start giving you signs and signals; some parents will say ‘’I would like to have as many grandchildren as possible’’, ‘’I will miss you when you find the right person’’, ‘’god will soon do it for you’’, ‘’you are next on the queue‘’ ‘’it will be hard to let you go when you meet the one we have been waiting for.’’ To me these trending sentences are just good grief. These words should not push you into getting married when you aren't ready but it should be a reminder that you have entered into another phase of your life. At this point, marriage is no longer impossible. If God brought the right person into your life you could, theoretically, do something about it.

at this stage , you might be asking these questions; does the fact that I could get married mean I should make it a priority to find someone? Do I assume I will get married soon or act as if I never will? What am I supposed to do now? Apostle Paul gave us a path way in the book of Ephesians (5:15-16), he writes, ‘’be careful, then, how you live ̶ not as unwise but wise, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.’’ King James Version reads ‘’See then you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise redeeming time.’’
Even though we don’t know the next action regarding our romantic relationships, we should not allow what we don’t know to stop us from acting on what we do know.
What do we know?
We know today. We know that we still have this day to focus on redeeming the time. We still have a lot of work to do. We have bad habits to get rid of, good habits to develop and character to build. What you need to do at this stage is to be very productive to yourself and your community.

If we focus on redeeming the time, we will make the most of each moment, and also prepare ourselves for the next phases of our existence. Our faithfulness in small things today gives us the privilege to handle greater responsibilities in future.
YOU JUST HAVE TO HUSTLE WHILE YOU WAIT FOR THE RIGHT PERSON AND TIME.
