ColorChallenge Orange and Yellow – Greetings, Earthlings!!!

Greetings,

Yesterday I was late for Orange Day and thought to skip it as I have a number of things piled up. So today I was looking through my photos to find something for yellow that wasn’t another blossom and came across a photo of some thistle like plant with a fair amount of the color in its dried state. Then as I’m looking closer at the photo I’m noticing the way it’s set on the stem from the middle. Wow, I know that flower; it’s my flying saucer flower! So I went back to my files to pull out the flower when it’s in bloom and here it is for Orange Tuesday and combined with Yellow Wednesday which appears below.

The first photo was taken in the north of Ecuador on an expedition to take a look at a riverside property. The following was taken in the south of Ecuador, obviously high up on a hillside in a much drier habitat. Now, lol ; ), I have two days and two colors thanks to one strange alien plant!

And for the grand finale I am throwing in a special bonus in the flying saucer series of three colors in one; Orange Tuesday, Yellow Wednesday and Green Thursday. 3 in 1, and this photo even captured the black hole behind the plant from where the UFO flower emerged!

Everyone is invited to particpate, ColorChallenge rules here.

As usual it will be fun to see all the entries.

Since I'm a new "plankton"?? and not yet a "minnow" (as clarified by an uppity ; ) friend, I didn't know about all the categories and how low on the food chain I am, I invite everyone to take a look at my intro and blog here.

Enjoy as always,
John

I like the "before and after" type of views. Now what you have there in that last shot is nothing short of a masterpiece! It just about covers a full week's worth of colors in one picture! :)

Yeah, I should have thought of that some time ago, the all in one photos like a Swiss army knife! I have one for indigo that I've prepared that will definitely cover the whole next week!
