Driving

Kids here can get their driver licenses when they are 16 years old. Some kids are so excited to learn driving and get their license at their 16th birthday, but nowadays a lot of kids are not interested to learn driving until later ages.

Most of my friends and I live in suburban, and the public transportation is very bad. All of us own cars, and we drive ourselves everywhere. Kids going here and there are dropped off by families, so they don’t realize how important of driving.

At the time I took one of my daughter to DMV to have drive test, one dad told me that his daughter already graduated from college, and she was taking the drive test at that time because her dad was no longer able to take her to work.

It’s very difficult to take the kids to school anymore after they graduated from high school. College is usually no longer nearby, and the classes gap is huge. Public transportation is not an option because it will take too long to get to school even though taking public transportation is free for college students here. Some Parents force to drive their kids to college.

From my opinion, driving is an easy thing, taking several hours lessens should be fine. Hope new generation understands how important of driving.
