Censorship in Steemit

in #censorship7 years ago

I see some posts being hidden and shown in grey. Meaning someone is trying to censor it. Is there a way to ignore this censorship? Or even better make those posts stand out that are being oppressed. For me censorship is a clear signal that this is important. That someone is so scared of it they are trying to use force to stop it instead of just debunking it with facts and logic.

I want a social media that is purely voluntarily. Meaning every user can choose for themselves what they read and what not. That no one can decide it for others.

Check your settings to make sur don't have any restrictions turned on

What restrictions could there even be? There are three parts in my settings.

  1. Public Profile Settings - info of me
  2. Private Post Display Settings - about not safe at work
  3. Muted

Not anything where I could choose to ignore flags or downvoting.
