WITH BITTERNESS YOU’LL NEVER GET BETTER

in #busy7 years ago

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.” Hebrews 12 – 14 – 15.

My dear friends, I believe that bitterness is a difficulty that all of us fight, from time to time. Somehow it knocks on all of our doors leaving us with a riddle to solve. Bitterness is a seed of destruction if allowed to grow. It is an unnecessary burden to carry on.

To be happy is to be at peace with yourself and everyone around, in fact to be happy is to be way close to longevity, because happiness brings clear mind and a focused mind to achieving greater things hindered by bitterness. Bitterness is a spirit and it kills like cancer. When you give it a chance to breed in your spirit, it will end up performing this three tasks; steal, kill and destroy every trace of joy and happiness that dwells in you. Bitterness is a major cause to mankind, it brings what we feel to be more of what we don’t deserve, thereby leaving you with odd actions that the aftermaths weighs you down.

Bitterness, I will say is very much like the South American vine known as the “Matador”. Why should I compare the Matador to bitterness? Oh yes, at the foot of a tree, the matador vine starts to grow, it kills slowly until it gets to the top of the tree which is its destination, when it gets to the top, it sends forth a flower to crown itself. The matador simply means bitterness; at first it may appear harmless and we might not see reasons to call one to order, but it grows from resentment to malice and then hatred until it grows to bitterness and eventually kill the soul.

In conclusion, I give my candid advice as to controlling bitterness. We must learn to live in peace and to endure, learn to learn from others, to overpower our negative thinking and not otherwise. But of all we should learn to tolerate and forgive not just that, also to forget our wrong deeds from people and by yourself.

Awesome write up Mr Frequency

Thank you my friend

Good writeup, @frequency50. I admit, I do get caught in feelings of bitterness, usually when I compare my progress with others. As much as I hated it, it's something I have to be mindful of consciously, to not get caught up with those nasty emotions.

@maverickfoo thank you for your wonderful and honest contribution.
