Will we ever see our Bitcoin Again? What has happened to BTC-e

If the US authorities can shut down BTC-e anywhere in the world what makes you think they can't shut down other exchanges whenever they choose and claim they are laundering money.

So many people trading have lost everything, BTC-e has vowed to return. How good is their word?
