My BTC shakeup

in #bitcoin8 years ago

I sold all coins that cost me more than $680.

I lost  5 - 10% on those particular coins but it made me soooo much more comfortable than I was because the price has been especially volatile the last 6 weeks.

Now my average price per coin down to ~410. I still buy every day and am still adding coins. The fact is I got carried away with the increasing price last month and bought about 5X more that month than I usually do. Consequently, I was going crazy watching the price.

Reducing your exposure a bit can help bring things into proper focus and allow you to see the big picture.

ps I do last in-first out accounting.

One thing i've learnt is that it is never a good idea to panic sell. The only two times a sell order should be executed in my opinion is for a stop loss or at a pre determined price. I'm fairly confident that the price of Bitcoin will rise in the long term, best of luck and great post

that was my reasoning. I was thinking of selling it all but thought . .I'll sell a little, 5% of my total coin. When I did, my stomach settled down, I had a little seller's remorse but everything just went calm. In that way, I feel like I protected 95% of my stash.
