There is a lot of knowledge in this non-artistic view contained in the post. I think another modern day example where the price of the artwork seems to defy conventional wisdom about art is “Potato #345 (2010)” by photographer Kevin Abosch. But I guess if we truly understand art then we will probably see that it is not something that we can fully understand :)
