Andy

Ant Andy and a curious cat named Cleo , Andy, as always, was busy collecting food for the winter, tirelessly moving between the meadow and the anthill. Cleo, on the other hand, was known for her playful and lazy nature. She loved to lounge in the sun and watch the world go by.

One warm afternoon, Cleo noticed Andy carrying a heavy grain of rice on his back. "Why are you always working so hard, Andy? Look at me! I play, I rest, and I still have plenty to eat," Cleo purred, stretching lazily.

Andy paused, looked up, and smiled. "I prepare for the future, Cleo. Winter will come, and there will be no food. It's wise to be ready for tough times."

Cleo laughed, dismissing the idea. "Winter is far away! I’ll find food easily when the time comes. You worry too much."

The seasons passed, and as winter arrived, the meadow turned cold and barren. The once vibrant flowers and plants wilted, and food became scarce. Cleo, now hungry, roamed the meadow but found nothing to eat. She remembered Andy and decided to visit him.

When Cleo reached Andy's anthill, she saw him and his fellow ants happily enjoying their well-stocked pantry. "Andy, you were right," Cleo admitted, her stomach growling. "I didn’t prepare for the winter, and now I have nothing to eat."

Andy, always kind-hearted, shared some of his food with Cleo. "It's never too late to learn, Cleo. Next time, you'll know that a little hard work today can make a big difference tomorrow."

From that day on, Cleo learned the value of planning ahead. She still enjoyed her sunny naps, but now, she also made time to prepare for the future—just like Andy.

And so, the cat and the ant became great friends, balancing work and play, and they lived happily through every season.

Moral of the story: It’s wise to prepare for the future, no matter how comfortable the present may seem.
