Community: Let’s Make an eSports Anime!

in #anime8 years ago

Goboiano.com has a community experiment where they ask anime lovers and gamers to come up with an Esport anime.

The first phase of the experiment, where we discussed the type of game is to be played, is already finished and this is the result:

"So,  let’s get started with the recap! Last time you all pitched in, most  votes have gone to either a first-person shooter or a MOBA. The  suggestions that stand out to me most, though, are mentions of the  games Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch. These type of games have similarities to both the first-person shooter and MOBA genres, AND fit perfectly into the anime-format. They are both class-based and objective-based shooters. Following  a match is crystal clear for the viewer: the cast of characters picks  the class they are proficient in. Each class has unique powers and a  unique costume. You’ve got your healer, your tank, your sniper,  etcetera. This way, the viewer knows which character is which, even  during an intense, quick-paced team fight!  Each match has one simple objective a viewer can get behind; it is either a King of the Hill setting, in which a team has to conquer a point and hold it for a set amount of time to win, or it is an Escort  game mode, in which an attacking team must escort a big object from  point A to B to win and the defending team has to hold them off ‘til the  timer reaches its limit. Oh,  by the way, you’ve all non-stop been spewing awesome concepts for the  previous article, but I have yet to see a title fitting of this game!  The working title will be ‘Eclipse Six’. I  literally made that up ten seconds ago so we have a word to efficiently  address this game within the eSports anime. If you guys like it, it can  stay. If not, bring on the suggestions in the comment section!"

The experiment is currently in its second phase where the Main Character's personality is discussed.
