In his philosophical writings, Chanakya mentions types of people who should not be helped as they only cause unhappiness and troubles to the people who help them!

Keep away from sad people!

Literally and figuratively, one should stay away from people who tend or pretend to be sad and lonely for no reason. They are never happy with what they have and are constantly lamenting on everything.

Staying with such a sad person will cause one to be sad just like them always. People who have no reason to be sad or upset yet who continue to be so are often jealous of other people’s happiness.

They keep cursing other people and feel cheated when they have no reason to do so. It is best to keep far away from such people as it affects one’s mental peace greatly.

Advising stupid people.

One must never advise stupid people. If you think you will help them by imparting knowledge and help them gain something, you are wrong.

No point in advising or helping them as stupid people are not capable of understanding the right things in life. They may start arguing on completely trivial things and waste your time and effort. Plus, they will show you down. In the end, you will be the one with stress..
